León, GTO, August 10, 2021. The content of the ITM innovation and talent-grooming program was today announced at a virtual press conference by the CEO of Idea GTO, Juan Antonio Reus Montaño; the National Representative of CANIETI’s ICT Industry Awards, Adriana Valdivia; the CEO of Explora, Gerardo Ibarra Aranda; ATMS Vice-president Antonio García; and Azul Ogazón, Director of Industrial Transformation México (ITM), the Hannover Messe of Mexico and Latin America, scheduled to take place on October 6-8, 2021 at Poliforum León, Guanajuato.
“For the 2021 edition of ITM, said Azul Ogazón, “there will be three strategic activities designed to foster innovation and talent in Mexico. The first of these is Futuristic Minds, a program of free, in-person keynote conferences on Industry 4.0-related topics targeting students. The second is Startup Pitch, for which we have joined forces with IDEA Guanajuato to continue promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the context of Industry 4.0. The third will be the presentation of CANIETI’s ICT Industry Awards, namely the Itzamná Prize, which recognizes the best of industrial innovation in Mexico.”
According to Juan Antonio Reus, “more than 120 entrepreneurs are expected to take part in the Startup Pitch. The four finalists will have the opportunity to meet with prospective investors, paving the way for a faster transition from manufacturing to mindfacturing.”
As regards the Futuristic Minds initiative, Gerardo Ibarra said that “this free program will have a positive impact on the country’s youth and encourage more students to take an interest in Industry 4.0,” while Adriana Valdivia invited SMEs to “participate in the six categories of the ICT Industry Awards, which will be presented on October 5 during ITM Industry Night.
Finally, Antonio Garcia said that “ITM is the ideal platform for introducing new technologies in Mexico and the perfect occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Industry 4.0.”
