MEXICO CITY, July 13, 2021. Bernd Rohde, CEO of Hannover Fairs México, and Hans Blomeier, who represents Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Mexico, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote sustainable industrial development in Mexico and the implementation of measures to shore up an Industry 4.0 Agenda at Industrial Transformation México, the Hannover Messe of Mexico and Latin America, which will take place on October 6-8 at Poliforum León, Guanajuato. The Memorandum also provides for the promotion of sustainable energies at Solar Power México, the leading trade show catering to the photovoltaic industry in Mexico and Latin America, whose 2021 edition will be held on November 9-11 at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City.
In addition to collaboration between Hannover Fairs México and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung from 2021 through 2023, joint actions proposed to promote, maximize and capitalize on the benefits of Industry 4.0 and renewable energies include a series of workshops, conferences and panels on high-tech innovations, the sustainable development of Industry 4.0, clean and renewable energies, and other topics that touch on areas where ITM and SPM can map out the course of the Industry 4.0 and sustainable energies agenda in Mexico.
According to Bernd Rohde, “the alliance Hannover Fairs México and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung have entered into is a natural union between German institutions for international cooperation whose mission is to facilitate transfers of technology and promote public policies that support sustainable development, and will indubitably motivate local governments and Mexican companies to adopt productive models that employ technologies for the more efficient use of resources, in turn, boosting the country’s competitiveness in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
Likewise, Hans Blomeier said that, “in light of the current global economic slowdown, this alliance will afford state governments and key actors in Mexico access to relevant information and technologies that can help stimulate the domestic economy and attract investment, while promoting a sustainable economy that is socially equitable and fosters a culture of democracy.”
