October 7 - 9, 2020, Poliforum León, León, Guanajuato, Mexico

Guanajuato is joining the fair ITM to support the digital transformation of the industry

The government of Guanajuato joined the trade fair “Industrial Transformation MEXICO” (ITM), which will help local companies to participate in the event that mirrors the Hannover Messe in Germany. The trade fair presents the most advanced technology in Automation, Industry 4.0, Robotics and Machinery for sectors such as automobile, aerospace and manufacturing in general.

The government of Guanajuato signed an alliance with Hannover Fairs Mexico, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Messe in Germany, organizer of the world´s biggest industrial trade fair, in which Mexico participated last year as partner country.

The event will be held from October 9 to 11, 2019, in León, Guanajuato, at the Leon Poliforum exhibition center.

The participation of 200 leading companies of Mexico and worldwide is expected, presenting digitalization solutions for the industrial sector.

The government of Guanajuato- the state having eight clusters of different industries, including automotive and aerospace- helps them to grow and to develop, in order to make the clusters competitive.

Sarah Möller, spokesperson of the event, highlighted that one of the challenges the industry in Mexico and the industry of other countries is facing, is the modernization of production processes and the adoption of new technologies, in order to continue offering high value products.

According to the Deloitte Competitiveness Index, Mexico is currently considered to be among the top 10 manufacturing countries worldwide, therefore its industry and the supply side need to advance in the modernization of the sector, in order to stay competitive and not to lag behind in a few years, due to traditional manufacturing, which did not adopt new technologies such as technologies of the 4.0 industries, emphasized Möller.

Mexico is the seventh largest vehicle exporter, sixth biggest manufacturer and exporter of medical equipment, and fifth largest global auto parts manufacturer, stated Sarah Möller.

ITM will consist of various product categories including Integrated Automation, Robotation and Motion, where developments such as Industrial Image Processing, Linear Drives, System Integration or Robotics will be illustrated.

Another category will be Metalworking, where visitors have the possibility to see amongst others advances in 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing, Laser Technology and Applications.
ITM will bring the latest industrial technologies in Digitalization, Robotics and Virtual Reality to Mexico, in order to improve the productivity of the local manufacturing industry.

There will also be a Digital Factory area, in which visitors have the chance to see innovations in Asset Management Systems, Big Data Management, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Industry 4.0 -Internet of Things (IoT) – and Virtual Reality. In this area, enterprises such as the leading multinational company, Siemens, will participate.

Smart Logistics will be another area, where the latest developments in Automated Guided Vehicles, Conveying Systems and Lifting Platforms, just to name a few, will be presented.

Within the fair, Research and Technology will be another division.

The tradeshow is expected to be one of the most important industrial tradeshows that have been held in Mexico and Latin America and enables companies of the industrial sector from all over the world to present their latest innovations.
