Hannover, Germany, June 17, 2019 – The national president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (CONCAMIN), Francisco Cervantes Díaz, and Dr. Jochen Köckler, president of the German company Deutsche Messe, ratified that the Annual Meeting of Industrials (RAI) will be held this year together with the trade fair Industrial Transformation MEXICO (ITM) in León, Guanajuato, from October 9 till 11, 2019 with the objective to boost Industry 4.0 in the country.
During a meeting in Hannover, Germany, both presidents highlighted the role that Mexico currently plays in terms of Industry 4.0, its competitiveness and growth opportunities in the future.
Jochen Köckler of Deutsche Messe pointed out, that since the participation of Mexico in Hannover Messe 2018 as Partner Country the eyes of the world and, especially, of the industrial sector turned towards our country. “This edition of ITM in Mexico will allow the industry to grow and will strengthen its role as an important player in the sector,” he said.
On the other hand, Francisco Cervantes from CONCAMIN stated, that CONCAMIN seeks to support events that allow the generation of industrial knowledge and which orient the strength of the sector so it occupies greater leadership in innovation matters. He explained that the simultaneous realization of the trade fair ITM and the RAI is a sign of the importance that industrial transformation is acquiring in Mexico.
The RAI is the most important business event in Mexico. It unites more than 800 leaders and entrepreneurs of the industrial sector of the country. The most representative personalities of the economic, political and social life of Mexico participate in the RAI. Every year, the participants analyse the progress and challenges of the sector but above all, they formulate initiatives and projects that seek to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.
ITM, for its part, will bring together more than 10,000 entrepreneurs and specialists of Industry 4.0; counts with more than 160 exhibitors, who will present the main innovations and launches of the country in the field of Industry 4.0; and will have more than 200 industry leaders, including presidents and CEOs of companies, as well as high level government representatives from different countries and investors attending. It will also offer a broad educational and training program, with about 50 conferences, workshops and seminars. The main topics that ITM will promote in this edition will be among others automation, robotization, digital manufacturing, ICT and intelligent logistics.
